Trump will spend every day until election in North Carolina, a swing state he won twice - The Economic Times

Donald Trump held his final rally in Greensboro, North Carolina, where he addressed a crowd eager to hear his campaign message ahead of the upcoming election. North Carolina has been a significant state for Trump, as it supported him in both the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections.

In his nearly 90-minute speech, Trump expressed a commitment to reviving the “American dream.” He boasted about the size of his rallies, claiming they were the largest in the history of any country. His remarks included a sharp critique of the media, referring to it as “fake news,” and he labeled Kamala Harris a “liar” multiple times throughout his address.

Trump characterized the United States as an “occupied country” and proclaimed that the upcoming election would serve as “liberation day in America.” His speech also touched on Project 2025, a proposal for the next Republican president that aims to expand executive power and promote a conservative agenda. Trump distanced himself from this initiative, stating, “I’ve never read it, I don’t want to read it,” suggesting he did not align himself with its goals.

Promising to combat inflation if he were to win the presidential election, Trump pledged to end what he termed “Kamala’s war on American Energy.” He emphasized his commitment to energy production with the slogan “drill, baby, drill,” reflecting a pro-energy stance.

Like his opponent, Trump urged attendees to make their voices heard by voting. He warned that even if someone is ahead in the polls, they can still lose if supporters do not turn out, emphasizing the importance of voter turnout.

Throughout his speech, Trump rallied the crowd with statements about the power they hold in determining the nation’s future. He expressed a belief that all of the problems facing the country can be resolved, but ultimately stated that the responsibility lies with the voters. He directed a pointed remark at Harris, asserting that she is “the worst vice-president in history” and proclaiming, “Kamala, you’re fired,” as he encouraged the audience to reject her leadership.

Trump’s rally in Greensboro underscored his campaign’s focus on energizing supporters and reinforcing his position as the challenger to the current administration, appealing to a desire for change among the electorate.
