Donald Trump has selected Susie Wiles, who managed his recent campaign, as his White House Chief of Staff following his victory in the 2024 presidential election. Wiles is acknowledged both inside and outside Trump’s circle for her role in orchestrating a highly disciplined and well-executed campaign.
Though typically avoiding the spotlight and declining to make public speeches during campaign events, Wiles is well-regarded for her strategic and methodical approach. In a statement celebrating her appointment, Trump praised her as “tough, smart, innovative, and universally admired and respected.” He expressed confidence that her continued leadership would advance his goals for the nation.
Trump further remarked on the significance of her role, noting that Wiles will be the first woman to serve as Chief of Staff in the history of the United States, a responsibility he believes she will fulfill with distinction.
Wiles brings extensive experience in political strategy, having directed Trump’s campaigns in Florida during the 2016 and 2020 elections. Her background also includes managing the 2010 gubernatorial campaign for Rick Scott in Florida, as well as a brief stint with former Utah Governor Jon Huntsman’s presidential campaign in 2012.
Wiles’ experience and skill set are expected to guide her as she transitions from campaign management to one of the highest-ranking positions in the incoming administration.
